As of November 1, this blog will come to a temporary close….
I began this project more than five months ago for the purpose of providing a platform to write and express novus ideas about theology and Capitol Hill, and maybe challenge some people in the process. While I think (and hope…) this was accomplished, I’ve realized it is not the best outlet for me, for now. It is not good for me personally and professionally, and so I shall shelf this project with the hopes of returning to it someday.
I want to give a BIG thanks to the handful who have stopped by to read, learn, comment, and think. Thanks for your input and encouragement. Thanks for your time and interest. All of these mean the world to me! If any of you ever are in the DC area and want a tour or are interested in talking theology, politics, spirituality, etc…definitely email me. Hopefully, I’ll be able to meet some of you who have frequented this site!
Maybe novus lumen will be back online in a year or two. But for now, I will emerge through terra nova into novus lumen outside of cyberspace.
be His, jeremy

sorry to see you go. If you decide in a few weeks that you have some thoughts you want to put down in words, consider this a standing invitation to post over with us at Addison Road.
I trust that God’s leading you in this decision, but I’ll miss the discussion! 🙂
Looking forward to hearing what you’ve got to say Sundaynight!
Trinka
Really? Ok, man, you walk with God, and I trust your heart to do that. That’s awesome. I can’t say that I’m not a little disappointed, though, selfishly. But I’m in your corner, on the battlefield with you in this nueva tierra (sorry, my Latin is terrible, so I’ll stick with Spanish – ha!). Let’s keep the conversation going, though, for your heart is the treasure for which Christ both came to rescue, and intends on using to rescue others. “Prayer is the walkie talkie on the battlefield of the world. It calls on God for courage (Eph 6:19). It calls in for troop deployment and target location (Acts 13:1-3). It calls in for protection and air cover (Matt 6:13; Luke 21:36). It Calls in for fire power to blast open a way for the Word (Col.4:3). It calls in for the miracle of healing for the wounded soldiers (James 5:16). It calls in for supplies for the forces (Matt 6:11; Phil 4:6). And it calls in for needed reinforcements (Matt. 9:38).” – John Piper
You will be missed, Jeremy. Hope you are well and that you will still come and see us (and post?) at Addison Road. Godspeed.
Aww man, that sad…
Well if you’re ever interested in guest contributing over at ebbworld.com, you’re more than welcome brotha
Thanks so much for the vote of confidence, support, and prayer! I assure you, this is nothing personal or the result of harm or ill will because of the site. In evaluating some things and getting some advice, I just realized right now is not the time for this, especially in light of my responsibilities to a ministry and organization.
Anyway, you won’t loose me as a brother or friend, and certainly won’t loose me as a fellow thinker, wrestler, ponderer, writer, poster, and any other -ers 🙂 Thanks for the offers to contribute and be prepared for me to take you up on your offers in the coming weeks!
Thanks again, and be His, folks…
