As you can see, I am (virtually) back online with my newly hosted domain novuslumen.net. I spent the weekend importing my old posts (still working on getting the comments to accompany them…) and tweaking the new WordPress site, and I think things are back up enough to cut the ribbon to the new place. While I will still be doing some work here over the next number of weeks (like designing a new theme), it is livable enough.
I hope this move marks a new chapter in my blogging experience. Novus Lumen began as an effort to get me writing and expressing my ideas creatively through the medium of the blog. Then as I progressed and became more comfortable, I began to explore a handful of ideas and themes. In this next phase, I hope to incorporate more elements, like lectio divina podcasts and communal writing. Hopefully this move is the beginning of a network of novus lumen ideas and communication.
Again, thanks for being interested in my thoughts and ideas enough to come back day after day and week after week. I value your eyes, mind, and fingers, and I hope you continue to use all three while you visit. Now that I am back “online”, look for the continuation of my series on the Emerging Church and Capitol Hill, in addition to many more thoughts floating around in my head.
be His,

The correct Latin would be “novum lumen,” as lumen is neuter, not masculine.
Thanks Jim pointing this out, I was wondering when someone would! I hope today’s explaination helps you better understand what this site is about, and why I deliberately chose the wording that I did.

Congratulations on the move to WordPress! I made the move several months ago, and am very happy with the move.
