Ever since school started I have been wrestling with the incredible weight of interpreting the Bible well and correctly. Especially as one who has been called to be a teacher and gifted spiritually with teaching and shepherding, the implications of interpreting the meaning of God’s Revelation beneath the Text of the Holy Scriptures are tremendous, especially as it relates to such important, weighty issues as homosexuality. Maybe we have some interpretations horribly wrong? I know history is writ large with bad interpretations of the Holy Scriptures, even by well meaning people who claim Sola Scriptura.
