I know I am suppose to be on a blogging sabbatical, but I couldn’t help but post this: I am hopeful in the political process again.
I started reading Barack Obama’s book, The Audacity of Hope, and man am I impressed. It’s nearly 340 pages and chuck full of good stuff. The man can write, he can weave together compelling prose, and he seems to genuinely want to fight for this country without resorting to the typical polarities of the political process. Sure he’s a democrat, but his politics are…seem…just different! I feel like I can believe in the political process again, that there is a “third way” through it all. And even if that “third way” is being led by a democrat he seems like the only one who can bring some sanity back to Washington…
I’ll post some more thoughts later, but I think this make me an Obama supporter. This from the guy who spent the evening at the Bush Cheney campaign party in DC in November 2004 and was on the front cover of New York Daily News and a background shot for Entertainment Tonight shouting “FOUR MORE YEARS!”
My, my, how times have changed…

hehe…yes, I asked my husband the other night if 5 years ago he thought that we’d be sitting in our living room watching CNN actively supporting a democrat for president. (not to mention all the faith changes we’ve undergone)
how times do change, huh Makeesha?! 🙂 Ever wonder what the next 5 years will bring? Maybe we’ll be card-carrying commies 😉

ROFLOL
Hey, Jeremy –
Listen, I want my own website. I can’t very well – well, at least I don’t have the tolerance to – filter through all the nonsensical ads online. If I want to buy my own domain, is it expensive? Free? Would you help me make it pretty (over the course of a LONG TIME)? Give me the scoop.
Of course, it’d be http://www.thatramongirl.com or/and christyramon.com . All right. Hope you’re well.
