Most merciful Father, I thank you for sending the Holy Spirit into the world upon the ascension of your Son to empower your people to live as the continuing presence of Jesus Christ Himself. I pray this Lord’s Day that you would give your Church in my city a greater awareness of your empowering Spirit, in order that we might boldly proclaim the gospel of your Son Jesus Christ and show forth your power in our community; to the glory of your Name. Amen.
