Tomorrow Lisa and I will be speaking in front of a group of 75-80 Parliamentary, county, and city leaders and Members on what it looks like for Christians to engage missionally with government. The Christian church, understandably, is VERY resistant to getting involved with the government at any sort of level. When Senator Radu, a Romanian Senator I met at the beginning of the year, heard about the ministry I work for and what we do on the Hill he was very intrigued and wanted us to speak to a group of mostly Christians and non-Christians on what it looks like and why we should engage with the government, as Christians.
I will be presenting on the biblical basis for engagement and what that looks like practically. I have about 2 hours to prepare and we all were completly taken off guard by this. We’re excited and learning the meaning of flexibility, but please pray for this. They are saying our presence and presentation could start a movement similar to what we as a ministry do in the US. They are saying this is the most important thing we will do here and this is why God brought us to Romania. So they are very excited and expectant of this day on Tuesday. Please especially pray for me as I write and prepare this. Even as I type I am printing past blog posts as reference, because much of the vision I want to share from the Bible has been already articulated and given to me by God through my previous writings.
