For those of you who are interested in my ministry on Capitol Hill, next weekend I am taking a handful of guy staffers up to “my” cabin in the Shenandoah Mountains. This is the same cabin to which I went in July and had my amazing experience in silence and solitude.
The point of the trip is to get away from the intense DC life, be crazy mountain men, and also use the time to reorient our lives around Jesus and His Way. While it won’t be an intense “Navy Seals for Jesus” experience, it will be a time to get away with God and enjoy His presence. I will be incorporating a few different spiritual practices that have become dear to me, practices I used when I was on my own mini-pilgrimage. I truely hope it will be a wonderful time of fellowship with Jesus and these guys…
