Last night, a vision began to be realized: my coworker Lisa and I started training nine congressional staffers using an evangelism training program I designed based on my observations of the emerging postmodern culture and in response to an eleven-page proposal I wrote three months ago. It is privilege enough to train and encourage people to share their faith in general, but way more special to train using something I designed. We met for the first time last night, and it was so amazing! I am so very encouraged about the group of people who have stepped out of the boat to grow in this area of their spirituality.
If you are interested in praying for the program, we are meeting every Monday until December 5 in the evenings from 6:30pm-8pm. Also, please pray for these nine congressional leaders as they learn how to engage their coworkers in spiritual conversations in the Capitol Hill community. Finally, I would appreciate your prayers as I teach them how to lead people to liberation in Christ. I need to lean wholly on Christ to do this and I pray he would sustain my during the late Monday evenings, lead me away from temptation and deliver me from the Evil One, and continue to give me clarity and vision for this training program.
