The Vintage Faith Made Relevant

through fresh, clear insights and resources

For a decade I’ve been consistently engaging the conversations around the church landscape that seek to connect the Christian faith to our modern 21st century world.

As someone who experienced a personal crisis of faith and journeyed into, through, and beyond progressive Christianity, I understand the tectonic shifts that are happening in the modern Church.

As a seminar-trained Christian thinker with Master of Divinity and Theology degrees, I understand how to connect God’s magical, revolutionary Story of Rescue to our world. And as an author and former pastor, I have worked hard to equip thoughtful Christians like you to share that Story with your world and make the vintage Christian faith relevant.

My promise: Make the vintage Christian faith relevant to your modern world through fresh, clear insights in order to help you better understand your faith, bring clarity to Scripture, and live your God-given calling wherever you are.

Perhaps you’re a business person wondering how your faith and work intersect. Maybe you’re a mother watching from the side-lines as your college student slowly leaves behind the church. Maybe you’re a small group leader who’s looking for ministry encouragement. Or perhaps you want to dive deeper into understanding God’s Story and Christian faith.

Regardless, you’ve stumbled across this site looking for answers to your questions on the Bible, Christian faith, ministry, culture, and life. And my promise is to provide some clear insights to help you find those answers.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • Fresh, clear insights on making the vintage Christian faith relevant

  • Curated content to deepen your life as a follower of Jesus

  • Resources to help you better understand the Bible and basic beliefs of the vintage Christian faith

  • Updates on my work and free stuff

Jeremy is a deep thinker; he’s courageous enough to challenge some popular evangelicals and emergents today. Jeremy loves the Church…and he tells us that grace grinding is not the way of Jesus and it is not the gospel Jesus preached. From the foreword to “the (un)offensive gospel of Jesus”

Bouma’s work…is required reading for every Christian leader.

Matt Rawlings

In this important guide [Reimagining the Kingdom], Jeremy Bouma explains how many who speak of the Kingdom of God do not mean what Jesus meant by it. If you are one who is attracted to the liberal gospel, this guide might just save your soul.

I like to tell people that Jeremy Bouma saved my life. Really, it was Jesus who saved my life, but it is overwhelmingly clear to me that God handpicked Jeremy for this intervention. During a season of loneliness and spiritual confusion, Jeremy miraculously entered my life and spent numerous hours with me…He has single-handedly taught me more about truth than any other human being, and I know God is already using Jeremy in His rescue of the world.

Andy D'Addario

I began blogging in May 2005 as a way to “work out my salvation with fear and trembling” as St. Paul said. Since then I continue to write within the tension of spirituality and theology, Church and culture, belief and practice, existing and emerging forms of Church, and the gritty drama that is our collective pilgrim story.

Thanks again for your interest in my work. I’ll look forward to sending some fresh, clear insights and curated content your way and hearing back your perspective!
